Dr Annie Lau is Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Informatics, Australian Institute of Health Innovation, where she leads the Consumer Informatics stream.

Her research interests lie in e-Health consumer informatics, health service engagement, social computing, and human behaviour modelling.  

Dr Lau has qualifications in Health Informatics (PhD UNSW) and Software Engineering (BE [Hons I] UNSW).  Her research involves: (i) analysing healthcare consumer behaviours using informatics and computational techniques; and (ii) designing and evaluating effective ICT interventions to help people become engaged in their health.
